We are open throughout the year, including school holidays. We do, however, close for one week (our mid-year break) at the end of June, then we close for three weeks at the end of each year for our annual leave. We have a separate, fully equipped, carpeted baby nursery. Debbie, our other Caregiver, works every afternoon in the Nursery and our Assistant Caregiver, Florence, works for the full day, every day. They are extremely patient, loving and caring, who give individual attention to the babies making them feel happy and loved. We have and use an abundance of perceptual games, toys and puzzles. Creative movement, music and singing is part of our curriculum. Our Teacher, Lulu, is fully qualified and has many, many years of Teaching experience. Our class is very small, enabling the children to get individual attention. Mickey Maths and various mathematical concepts are used, giving the children an excellent grounding and understanding of numeracy. The Yoga Lessons come at no extra cost, it is included in the fees. Once or twice a month, we book professional people, to come to our school, to entertain and educate our children. This is either as a puppet show, educational show or as a live animal show. All food is prepared and cooked daily, according to a menu. Lillian has been with our school since 1989, when we first opened. All children in the school, including the babies in the Nursery, receive a school report, bi-annually. You will be expected to supply a cake, chips and a few sweets or party packs for everyone in the class, if it is more convenient. At the end of each year, we hire a school hall and hold our annual school concert and graduation ceremony. At the same time all the Teachers/Coachers, for the relevant extra murals, give demonstrations and hand out medals and certificates to the participating children.
