Our focus is on promoting beekeeping and skills development for the beekeeping industry in South Africa and Africa in the agricultural business sector. We have bee hives and bee suits and hive tools, and bee smokers for sale! The bees are coming out in droves and trekking across the country looking for high sources of nectar and pollen and relocating into catch boxes, bee hives, pool pumps, water meters and all sorts of other types of places bees like to move into. With our Swarm Lure it is highly likely that you could purchase a catch box and place it on a roof top/above 1.5m and set it with swarm lure, that a trekking bee colony would have its scout bees find it and report back before the honeybee colony moved in. We run beekeeping courses monthly and sell all of the bee tools and beekeeping equipment needed to start beekeeping! The summer harvest is over and yet there are still places across South Africa that have some nectar flows. Mangoes, Apricots and Mulberries and Honey thorn, sunflower and kalahari vernonia are some. We also added new beekeeping equipment and bee tools to our retail store. We kick start a new year with gusto as we look to harness the recent rains and the harvest it will bring of honey from our colonies. Without the rain bees and farmers and plants across the country have suffered terribly! We got new stock of honey extractors, honey settling tanks and hive tools! Be sure to take advantage of the flow of nectar form crops, trees, flowers and vegetables! Most crops begin to or have started flower now and that means honey flow! The honeybees do get very aggressive however on the overdose of high quality pollen and nectar at the aloe fields so take precautions when placing bee hives as well as when you work with them. South Africa has not succeeded in preventing the spread of AFB or American Foulbrood which is a spore that eventually will kill off the brood of the bee hive. We have now introduced a field testing kit for AFB which is available to South African beekeepers and surrounding countries as well. We have new stock of honey extractors and frame spacers, bee smokers, metal queen excluders and honey settling tanks! Make sure you get your orders in for bee hives and trap boxes and wax sheets now so you can be ready for coming nectar flow and swarming season!
